Please honor what our founders put their lives on the line for by rejecting any legislation that lets lawbreaking telecom companies off the hook. Companies that handed over huge amounts of private information to the Bush administration without a warrant violated our system of checks and balances. They need to be held accountable, and the truth needs to come out so this never happens again.
Please also reject any bill that lets the president keep spying on the personal phone calls and emails of Americans without getting a warrant. Checks and balances are critical in our democracy.
