Election 2008
John McCain’s Straight Talk Express took another detour and then backtracked. At a press conference today John McCain stated in strong terms that he’s voted for every investigation of Hurricaine Katrina. Here’s why he took a detour: he voted, on party lines, against two Democratic proposals to investigate the levee failures.
When asked about it later by a local Baton Rouge reporter McCain stood his ground insisting he supported every investigation and further added that he was ‘not familiar’ with what the reporter was referring to.
It is so inspiring that the senior Senator from Arizona forgot that he rejected (twice) plans to investigate governmental failures that may have worsened the impact of the worst natural disaster this country has seen.
