Captain gets 10 years for molesting children

A captain at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, was convicted Dec. 3 in military court of committing indecent acts with two children as young as 8 years old.

Capt. Edward T. Hudson, a section commander with the 342nd Training Squadron, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, forfeiture of all pay and allowances and dismissal from the Air Force, according to a base press release. He was sentenced Dec. 4.

Hudson was convicted of molesting a young girl betweeen Nov. 30, 2000, and Oct. 10, 2001, according to court-martial documents. The girl was 9 and 10 years old at the time, a base spokesman said.

He also was convicted of molesting another girl between Jan. 30 and April 30, 2006, according to the documents. A base spokesman said the girl was 8 and 9 years old.

Hudson was placed in local military confinement following sentencing and will be transferred to a long-term military correction facility, according to a base news release said.
