Led Zeppelin reunion gig confirmed

Led Zeppelin have confirmed they are going to play a one-off gig at London's O2 Arena on November 26, 2007.

The 'Stairway To Heaven' rockers will headline a charity gig which will pay tribute to their musical mentor Ahmet Ertegun, the founder of Atlantic Records.

The band will comprise original members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, with John Bonham's son, Jason, taking over on drum duties from his late father.

Money raised from the concert will go towards the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund, which offers aspiring musicians university scholarships.

Speaking about Ertegun, Plant said: "During the Zeppelin years, Ahmet Ertegun was a major foundation of solidarity and accord.

"For us he was Atlantic Records and remained a close friend and conspirator - this performance stands alone as our tribute to the work and the life of our long-standing friend."

Other acts on the bill include Foreigner, Paulo Nutini and Pete Townsend.

Tickets for the event are £125 and can be bought by signing up via the Ahmet Tribute website. Only two tickets are available per household and they will sold using a ballot system.
