WASHINGTON (AP) - Democrats have used their weekly radio address to attack what they consider failed economic policies they say John McCain still supports.
Ohio Governor Ted Strickland says McCain doesn't seem to understand that the financial crisis isn't two weeks old. He says as McCain has supported tax cuts for corporations and Wall Street CEOs, America has been losing jobs every month this year, and 7,000 families a day are losing their homes.
Strickland says McCain "just doesn't get it," and that we "cannot take out a second mortgage" on failed economic policies that got us in our current mess.
Strickland says Barack Obama would cut taxes for small businesses and 95% of workers and their families, as well as reducing health care costs for the average family by $2,500.
