In economic policy speech, McCain says ‘chairman of the FEC’ — not SEC — should resign.
In his speech today on the crisis in the financial markets, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) referred to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) when he was trying to refer to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC): That’s why I believe that the chairman of the FEC should resign and leave office and be replaced.
