North Korea has warned Japan to stay away from international nuclear disarmament talks days before they are due to start.
It has described Japan as a "swindler" without the qualifications to attend next weekend's disarmament talks.
An editorial in the ruling Workers' Party newspaper Rodong Sinmun said Japan would waste time raising trivial issues like North Korea's abduction of Japanese women in the 1980s.
North Korea's official media called for Japan to stay away from the talks which have been on hold for more than a year.
