Iraqi rebels 'holding US troops'

BBC

A group of insurgents in Iraq says it is holding two United States soldiers who have been missing since Friday.
In an internet statement, the group - linked to al-Qaeda in Iraq - said it abducted the soldiers near Yusufiya, south of the capital, Baghdad.

They were seized after an attack on the checkpoint they were manning.

The US military named the missing soldiers as Kristian Menchaca and Thomas Tucker, both from the 101st Airborne Division.
