Lie Detector Challenge For Santorum

(KDKA) PENN HILLS -- Senator Rick Santorum is irate over questions about his residency.

Now, the Democratic Chairwoman of Penn Hills has issued a lie detector challenge to Santorum.

Thursday, we told you extra police patrols are brought in to keep an eye on the Santorum’s residence in Penn Hills after someone reportedly trespassed on the property and now the situation has spiraled into a downright dirty political battle.

KDKA's Ralph Iannotti says the political heat has been turned up a notch or two.

A day after KDKA disclosed police were stepping up patrols in Santorum's neighborhood, a strategist for Santorum charged Democrats were stalking the senator's home.

An angry Santorum lashed out on KDKA Radio firing verbal salvos at the leader of the Penn Hills Democratic Party and Bob Casey – his Democratic opponent in the U.S. Senate campaign.

“Don't go walking around looking in my house and threatening my family by doing so. Just stop doing this,” said Santorum.

The husband of the chairwoman of the Penn Hills Democratic Party was singled out by Santorum for the remarks he made Tuesday outside of the polling place where he votes.
