The Huffington Post has learned that Democrats are planning legal action against two Republican members of the House, House Resources Chairman Richard Pombo (R-Calif.) and House Administration Committee Chairman Robert W. Ney (R-Ohio).
Representative Ney, who has close ties to scandal-ridden lobbyist Jack Abramoff, helped Israeli wireless company Foxcom secure a contract to provide cellular service on Capitol Hill. As The Washington Post reported yesterday, the company was selected through a potentially rigged process.
The Hill reported that Representative Pombo “may have violated tax laws by accepting international trips paid for by a private foundation.”
