DNC Launches New Web Ads on McCain Stacking the Deck for His Favorite Lobbyists

Washington, DC - The Democratic National Committee today announced a significant web ad buy highlighting John McCain's history of stacking the deck in favor of his favorite lobbyists. The new ads will begin appearing today on political, religious and conservative news sites like the Drudge Report, Beliefnet, the American Prospect and MyDD.

The ads feature images of McCain in a casino and say "Betting on John McCain? Casino Lobbyists Are. See How John McCain Stacked the Deck." The ads direct readers to a new video called "Betting on McCain" that details his history of rewarding favored lobbyists who bet on McCain. The ad and the video come on the heels of new reports outlining McCain's pattern of using his position as the chairman of a key Senate committee to tip the scales in favor of lobbyists with connections to friends, family and his past campaigns. In return, those lobbyists organized trips to the casinos McCain was responsible for overseeing, steered hundreds of thousands of dollars to his campaign, and at least 40 of them went to work to help put him in the White House.
