"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." Samuel Adams, (1722-1803)

McCain includes Bush pic in fundraising pitch
Politico
Part of the challenge McCain has in distancing himself from President Bush is that, for his unpopularity with the country at large, the incumbent is still a major fundraising draw for loyal Republicans.
This is why Bush joined McCain earlier this year in Phoenix at a high-dollar reception and why McCain's campaign used the above picture, obtained from a past RNC donor, in a fundraising solicitation.
Interestingly, though, the four-page letter included with the photo doesn't include the words "Bush."
"As a token of my appreciation and to welcome you to our campaign team I've sent the enclosed photograph," McCain writes.
