Iranian President Ahmadinejad says the White House hopefuls Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are unlikely to win the US presidential election, PressTV reported.
"We don't interfere in the other countries' affairs but we think that the American nation seek profound changes in their country," the Iranian president said in a press conference in New Delhi on Tuesday when he was asked about the prospective results of the US presidential campaign.
"Do you think a black candidate would be allowed to be the president in the US? We don't think Mr. Obama will be allowed to become the US president," Mehr news agency quoted Ahmadinejad as saying.
Pointing to Clinton's chance of winning the presidential election, he said, "Presidency of a woman in a country that boasts its gunmanship is unlikely."
"I think the US presidential campaign is being steered towards a determined direction," Ahmadinejad argued.
However, the Iranian president stated, "It will make no difference to us who will be the next US president. Whatever happens the US is not like the past and its power is on decline."
