Two Republican Representatives Quit Campaign

The battle for control of the Indiana House of Representatives got more interesting today as two Republican incumbents quit the campaign.

Republican Andy Thomas of Brazil dropped his reelection bid to take a job at Ivy Tech. Fellow Republican Ralph Ayres of Chesterton also dropped out, saying he plans to pursue other opportunities.

Republicans control the Indiana House of Representatives 52 to 48, but today's dropouts boosted Democratic hopes to take back control.
