Catholics Worry Death of Pope Will Kill Bingo Bonanza

Los Angeles, CA— St Joseph’s Church in the lower side of Santa Monica is contemplating how to boost Bingo attendance now that the Pope has passed on. Father Mackey sees the death of the Pontiff, as a blow to the Wednesday and Saturday night attendance, being as the main crowd draw was the autographed photo given out as part of the Bingo winnings. "I can’t depend on the 5 x 8 glossy coming from the Vatican anymore," said Father Mackey.
The Knights of Columbus have taken up the challenge of heading off this problem by contacting the publicist of Mel Gibson and asking if he could swing by once a month for a photo op.
