More Than Two Million Petitions to Senate Leader Harry Reid

On Wednesday, March 9, Barbara B. Kennelly, president and CEO of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare will bring to Capitol Hill more than two million petitions signed by seniors who oppose any plans to privatize Social Security.

The petition delivery is one element of the National Committee’s national anti-privatization efforts which Mrs. Kennelly will discuss during her meeting with Sen. Reid. After the meeting, Sen. Reid and Mrs. Kennelly will hold media availability. Members of the press should gather outside of S. 224 to be brought into the meeting.
