Ranking Judiciary Democrat issues statement regarding vote on Gannon inquiryThe following statement of Rep. John Conyers, Jr., the ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, was issued early Wednesday.
Rep. Conyers has led the push, along with Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY), to demand an inquiry into how the a discredited White House reporter and prostitute got access to the President.
The Resolution of Inquiry will force a discussion and vote in the Judiciary Committee Wednesday starting at 10 a.m. on whether Congress will demand Bush agencies turn over credentialing information on the correspondent.
